Subways
The subway networks in Japan’s major cities are very developed and provide a very convenient means of transportation. The many subway lines in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya form a complex grid, but users can easily distinguish them as each line is a different color and the subway maps in stations are also all conveniently color-coded by line. In addition to regular passenger tickets, unlimited-use one-day tickets and pre-paid cards are also available.
