Concept

Zest for Living, Wisdom for Life --Rediscovery of Vitality--

Visitors will have “fun” and rediscover human wisdom and zest for living, through food-related exhibits and programs. “Fun” nurtures zest for living and is the source of human wisdom for life and creativity.

Children, full of wonder and curiosity, who play in this pavilion will learn firsthand how deeply food affects us, have a glimpse of creative ideas for future food, and get tips on ways to live in the 21st century.

Visitors will become aware of human wisdom and the zest for living hidden in “food” and “fun,” and understand the importance of inherent vitality, creativity and food.

Easy-to-understand programs will guide children from “discovery“ to “understanding” and from “experience” to “practice,” and will inspire creativity by stimulating the natural vitality in children.

On the first floor, visitors learn about digestion, while playing on Gon's Stomach Slide; view a video show on “Food and Health” at a theater; enjoy an exhibit on foods and nutrients, and learn about “Food and Human Wisdom” in an exhibit on fermented food and other processed food. In addition, state-of-the-art food technology is also exhibited. Visitors can gain extensive knowledge about food, while having fun.
