How do I get to the sites by train?

From JR Nagoya Station

Trains run daily via the JR Chuo Line from JR Nagoya Station directly to Aichi Loop Line Bampaku-Yakusa Station.

From Toyohashi and Hamamatsu

Take the JR Tokaido Line to Okazaki Station, transfer to the Aichi Loop Line, and alight at Bampaku-Yakusa Station.

From Tajimi and Nakatsugawa

Take the JR Chuo Line to Kozoji Station, Transfer to the Aichi Loop Line, and alight at Bampaku-Yakusa Station.

From Chubu International Airport

Take the JR Chuo Line to Kozoji Station, transfer to the Aichi Loop Line, and alight at Bampaku-Yakusa Station.

Note: Visitors going to the Nagakute Area from Bampaku-Yakusa Station should take the Tobu-Kyuryo Line (Linimo) to Bampaku Kaijo Station. A shuttle bus is also available (Days of operation are yet to be decided). Visitors going to the Seto Area from Bampaku-Yakusa Station should take the shuttle bus (runs daily).

How do I get to the sites by bus?

A station shuttle bus is provided.
The station shuttle bus is scheduled to operate along the following 3 routes.

  • Nagoya Station (Meitetsu Bus Center) to Nagakute Area
  • Meitetsu Owari-Seto Station to Nagakute Area
  • Meitetsu Kurozasa Station to Nagakute Area

How do I get to the sites by car?

At the EXPO 2005 AICHI, JAPAN, a Park & Ride system has been adopted instead of parking lots next to the site in order to alleviate traffic congestion and reduce the impact on the environment. Those visitors traveling by car should park in one of the 6 Park & Ride parking lots (fee required) located in the vicinity of the sites, and then make their way to the sites using the available parking lot shuttle buses (free of charge). It takes approximately 20 to 40 minutes to reach the sites from each of the Park & Ride parking lots.

Note: The Park & Ride system involves parking your car or motorcycle (50cc and over) in one of the dedicated Exhibition parking lots and then riding the shuttle bus to the Exhibition sites.

How much is the parking fee?

The Owari-Asahi, Nagakute, Nagakute South, Miyoshi and Fujioka parking lots are all ¥3,000 per day.
The Nagoya Airport parking lot costs ¥2,500 per day.

How much will it cost me to park my bicycle or motorbike?

Bicycles and motorbikes under 50cc are free of charge.
There is a charge of ¥1,000 per time to park motorbikes over 51cc.

Note: Visitors coming by bicycle or bicycles with motors (up to 50cc) are kindly requested to use one of the bike parking lots at the Nagakute Area West or North Terminals, or at the Seto Terminal (Max. 1,000 vehicles, free of charge).

Is it possible to leave and then re-enter the parking lot?

Once you have left the parking lot, you will be required to pay the parking fee once again.
