Seeking NPO/NGO Participation in the NGO Global Village

The Japan Association for the 2005 World Exposition is seeking nonprofit organizations and nongovernmental organizations that wish to take part in the NGO Global Village, which will be set up in the Nagakute Area at the 2005 World Exposition, Aichi, Japan. Applications are being accepted beginning July 15, and the relevant information is contained below.

The NGO Global Village, which will operate under the concept of "Learning for Sustainability," is a place where NGOs and NPOs, from both Japan and around the world, will gather and work together. It is hoped that there will be "Participatory Learning Programs" that will allow visitors to have fun while learning.

This effort will also be coordinated with the Decade of Education for Sustainable Development, which the United Nations has declared will begin in 2005.
