+ Objectives
The event aims at providing an opportunity for prominent scholars, policy-makers
and industrialists from Japan and abroad to discuss the future climate actions
beyond Kyoto from medium and long-term perspectives. In particular, how to mobilize
technological innovation, deployment and diffusion for low-carbon society and
how to facilitate the transfer of these technologies to developing countries
will be debated with a view to striking a good balance between environment and
economy.
This symposium is open to the public, and it is expected that the general
public interested in climate change issues will be participating as audience.
