エチオピアは豊かな文化と有史前までさかのぼる歴史を有する国で、世界中でも最も長い歴史ある国のひとつです。
今回、エチオピアで発見された考古学上の発見が、人類の発祥を示すものであることが確認されました。この350万年前の古代人骨の化石は「ルーシー」と名づけられ、事実を裏付けるものとなっています。

Ethiopia is a very ancient country whose rich culture and history go back to pre-historic times. It is one of the countries with the longest history in the world.
Archaeological findings have identified Ethiopia’s as one of the cradles of man kind. The discovery of the ancient hominid fossil, called “Lucy”, which is 3.5 million years old, is one of the evidences of this fact.
Lucy is here in Japan, at the Ethiopian Pavilion in Global common 5, EXPO 2005 AICHI. Please come and see the human ancestor, and don’t miss this opportunity.
